Once upon a 5th birthday party, a princess was to be surprised!
Streamers and Balloons were hung by none other but her Daddy, a Prince
in her eyes.
Her dress tailored and designed just for the princess’ fancy day
By none other than Nana, who shows her love in this special way
Her Gigi & Tito traveled from a far land
Texas, they call it, some think it’s so grand:)
There were jelly beans to be sorted and decorations to be set.
The excitement was building because her guests had not arrived yet.
In the meantime, a special call from Scotland came over the “telly.” A call from her Aunt, Uncle and cousins sending their love and making it known she was sweeter than jelly.
A knock at the door. Who could it be?
Maybe an early guest or some family?
Yeah, they have arrived. Welcome. Come in.
She’s so excited – let the birthday celebration begin.

The Princess felt blessed to have her family and friends come help her celebrate her birthday
The smiles she wore could have made gray skies go away.
As the party came close to the end
And it was time to say thank you and goodbye to all of her friends
She made sure they knew that they knew Grammy “Pickle’s” gift was superb.
By sharing her sweet smile and doing the best “water sprinkler” this world’s ever heard.
After that performance and WAY too many jelly beans
Her princess status has been updated to my dear drama Queen!
